G’day all!
Just over four weeks till the 35th Annual Sussex Basin Yacht Club Regatta – where’d that year go…………..
Similar format to previous years – Friday, January 31 at 2.30pm Barefoot Bowls (RSL Bowling green) cost of $5 per person. Saturday kicks off with an 11am briefing at the RSL Fishos Shed HQ and then to St Georges Basin for the Basin Chase event from 1pm. This will be followed up by some bragging, explaining and race updates back at the RSL Fisho’s HQ for beers & a BBQ. Later in the evening the band Sons of Beaches will be playing at the RSL for those keen for a great night.
Sundays race is an earlier start 11am on the triangle course. Presentation and photo show are all planned, food and drink ordered and we’re all looking forward to a great weekend and catch up.
Spectator boat – Shawn Macey has again offered use of his boat for spectators – this year on his recently acquired 11m Scimitar ‘Glenfyne’ – a beautiful motor cat capable of hosting 14 visitors – please let me know if you know of anyone who might like to join him over the regatta weekend.
